Join our Board of Directors

Ptarmigan Arts is currently recruiting for two new Board members in anticipation of vacancies at our AGM March 3, 2026. An ideal Board of Directors brings together a group of diverse individuals (age, gender, ethnicity, cultural and socio-economic background) who each have a unique perspective, possess knowledge from diverse lived experiences and have characteristics that compliment other board members. We are looking to cultivate a creative, diverse and inclusive environment that attracts Board members from all walks of life who are passionate about the arts, have expertise in areas that would benefit Ptarmigan Arts and enhance the Board dynamic, have leadership and management experience, have commitment to the organization and have time and energy to commit to the Board. 

Expressions of interest

We are inviting ‘expressions of interest’ from the community. Individuals should have:

- Awareness of and alignment with Ptarmigan Art’s mission, vision and values

- Knowledge and aptitude that benefits our non-profit arts organization

- Perception and insight to see future vision for Ptarmigan Arts

- Initiative to help develop and realize organizations goals

- Availability to attend meetings and to attend to related business and board development opportunities

- Integrity and lack of conflict of interest

- Understanding of how Boards operate or willingness to learn responsibilities

There are typically 12 Board meetings a year, plus various committee meetings as needed, and Board development opportunities.
